This 4-day trek is for people who want more than a summit photo. You spend the first days walking between Berber villages and terraced fields in the High Atlas, away from the main Imlil path, then climb Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) once you are well adjusted. It is slower, quieter and gives you a much better feel for the mountains and the people who live in them.
The route
Our proposed route crosses into the Azzaden Valley toward Tizi Oussem, returns toward Imlil, then follows the classic line past Aremd and Sidi Chamharouch to the refuge for the summit attempt. We confirm the exact route, walking hours and lodging with you before you book. The summit is never guaranteed and a Marrakech transfer can be added by quote.
Who it suits
Regular walkers who enjoy village stays and want the summit as the finish, not the whole trip. Maximum 8 guests per guide.
Included / Excluded
Included: a licensed mountain guide, a muleteer and mules to carry luggage and kitchen gear, and meals prepared on the trail by the muleteer. Lodging type, meal plan and transfers are written into your quote.
Excluded: flights, personal travel insurance, tips, and any Marrakech transfer unless you add it. Crampons can be rented in Imlil if the snow calls for them.
