The 3-day Mount Toubkal trek is the version we recommend to most people. It adds a lower-altitude walking day around Imlil before you climb to the refuge, so your body has time to adjust to the height before the summit push at 4,167 m. You still earn the top, but you arrive at the refuge feeling like you can sleep.
The route
You start in Imlil, in the High Atlas near Marrakech. The first day is a gentler walk through Berber villages and walnut terraces to settle into the mountains. Day two takes you up the Mizane Valley, past Sidi Chamharouch, to the Toubkal refuge. Day three is the early summit attempt and the descent to Imlil. A Marrakech transfer can be added by quote. Conditions can change the plan and the summit is never guaranteed.
